HOW IT WORKS
1. Find your counselor
- Browse counselor bios and pick the counselor that you feel best suits your needs.
2. Schedule your first appointment
- Schedule your first appointment by clicking Book Appointment.
- Select the counselor you wish to see in the drop-down menu.
- Select Video Office from the drop-down menu.
- Select the time for your appointment.
3. Begin counseling
- After choosing your appointment time, a secure link will be provided to you for your online-session.
- If you are attending your online session using your smartphone, you will need to download the Simple Practice app in order to attend the session.
Recommendations for a successful online session
- Find a quiet, comfortable and private space for your online session.
- Use a comfortable set of headphones if there will be other people in your vicinity.
- Make sure that you have a reliable internet connection for the duration of your session.

Is video chat secure and private?
Yes. Your security and safety is our number one priority. All online-counseling are done through a video-chat system that is 100% HIPAA compliant. Your therapist will be a quiet, private environment throughout the duration of your session.
Is the chat done via Facetime or Skype?
No. Facetime, Skype, and other similar online video chat systems do not meet HIPAA standards. We use a secured video service that is 100% HIPAA compliant.
Can I attend my sessions on my smartphone?
Yes. You will need to download the Simple Practice app first, and then you can attend sessions using your smartphone.
Are all counselors licensed?
Yes. All Stewart Counseling counselors are licensed to practice in the state of Texas and have been vetted and trained by our staff.
